This October, Curing Kids Cancer joined the USC College of Pharmacy for a special celebration of its partnership to advance pediatric cancer research.
USC President Michael Amiridis, Dean Stephen J. Cutler, Dr. Michael Wyatt, and our founders Gráinne and Clay Owen came together with the researchers and supporters who helped make this partnership possible.
This investment connects clinical care at Prisma Health Midlands Children’s Hospital with cutting-edge research resources at the USC College of Pharmacy. This gives scientists access to tumor tissue samples from pediatric patients so they can study childhood cancers and develop more effective, personalized treatments.
Grateful to USC leadership, our research partners, and everyone helping bring this vision to life. Together, we’re turning scientific discoveries into real hope for kids.
“Every study we heard today brings us one step closer to a world where no child has to fight cancer alone,” said Grainne Owen. “Moments like this remind us why collaboration is at the heart of everything we do at Curing Kids Cancer.”
As the sarcoma research community grows more connected, this inaugural forum marks the start of what organizers hope will become an annual tradition — one CKC is proud to help drive forward in the fight to cure kids’ cancer.
