Through the gift of adoption Tinley joined the Ammeraal family. She was the biggest blessing and such a happy baby. The family’s world was rocked with a cancer diagnosis for their sweet girl on September 1st, 2015. Tinley was just 7 months old. She was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She fought hard through 2 1/2 years of treatment and beat her diagnosis. The family was on their way to enjoying a few wonderful and amazing years of good health and lots of fun. Tinley became a sister in 2019 to her brother Noah. She was in school, sports, and thriving! On her 6th birthday her mom noticed a change in Tinley’s face. While celebrating her big day Tinley’s mom was in a silent panic as she felt a mass in her little girls face. They would all soon find out that the leukemia had returned in tumor form and their world was rocked again. The gift of community, an amazing children’s hospital and their faith in God is how the family made it through their second journey. Tinley conquered 2 more years of intense treatment to ensure she would beat Leukemia again. Through reasearch and funding, a new treatment was available to try this time to hopefully ensure the leukemia won’t ever return. Today, Tinley is again thriving with a love of life enjoying family and friends, she loves volleyball and dance, and will be entering 5th grade this fall. The Ammeraal’s know how lucky they are that Tinley is still here with them. They are hopeful for Tinley’s continued health and thank all of you for taking the time to ensure kids like Tinley get a fighting chance. Thank you for working hard to ensure there is more funding for kids with cancer.
