I was inspired to join the CKC mission because…
Raising two girls has shifted my previously more self-involved mindset to now be focused on doing everything I can for them. Imagining if they were sick and I had not done what I could to get them the care they would need for survival would be heartbreaking. I never want any parent to have to go through that.
The most impactful thing about serving on the CKC Board is…
Being able to meet the children CKC is helping through our grants – whether at Mecum auctions or fund-raising events – has put a face to all the work we put into this organization.
One thing I wish more people knew about childhood cancer research is…
I wish people realized that childhood cancer research does get shared – so donating to your local children’s hospital or an organization like CKC can impact broader efforts.
