Hillary and Jon Lang are very passionate about finding a cure for pediatric cancers. After a 4 year-long battle, they lost their son, Ian, at 18 years old to Ewing’s Sarcoma. Ian’s battle shone a light on research and awareness of the ongoing need for better treatments. Hillary and Jon have four children and two golden retrievers. Together, they run a remodeling company out of Wisconsin.

I was inspired to join the CKC mission because…

The fight for my sons life inspired me to get involved with everything research. When he died in 2021 I wanted to be as involved as I could to make a difference to save a child.

The most impactful thing about serving on the CKC Board is…

Being able to be apart of funding science to move in the right direction is the most fulfilling .

One thing I wish more people knew about childhood cancer research is…

That it is underfunded and needs to be a focus from everyone. If you loose a child to cancer it is the most mind boggling thing that it is underfunded and not interesting to pharmaceutical companies because it would not make them money.
