While attending College of Charleston, Amanda Grover found her passion for giving back to the community. As she volunteered for various service-learning projects as a student, she fell in love with the idea of being a change agent. When Amanda moved to Columbia in 2009, she connected with several local organizations to learn about ways she could get involved and help her new community. When Amanda joined Aflac in Columbia in 2010, her service work had greater reach because of Aflac’s commitment to social responsibility and encouraging employees to give back.
Amanda serves on the boards of Central S.C. Habitat for Humanity and the LRADAC Foundation. She is also a member of the United Way of the Midlands’ Education Council. Amanda has been recognized for her leadership and service work, both personally and professionally. Columbia Business Monthly named her one of the Best and Brightest, 35 and Under, in 2019. She was named a Top 10 Capital Young Professional by Columbia Metropolitan Magazine in 2021. Amanda graduated from Leadership Columbia in 2020 and Multiplying Good Change Makers in 2022.
Amanda is a 2007 graduate of College of Charleston and currently resides in Chapin. In her spare time, you will find her exploring the outdoors with her husband, Don, son, Arlo, and daughter, Winston – and Wells and Finley, the family’s golden doodles.
