2nd Annual Fire Truck Pull in Dallas Raises Over $26,000 to fund Pediatric Cancer Research

The 2nd annual Fire Truck Pull in Dallas blazed a trail of success, raising over $26,000, with all proceeds going to Childrens Health-Dallas. This year, the event saw an impressive turnout with 27 teams participating, including SMU athletics teams and our valued sponsors’ teams. A special thanks goes out to Texas Materials for their pivotal role as our presenting sponsor, along with Simmons Bank and Cowboys Fit stepping up as fire alarm sponsors, and Raising Cane’s as the ladder sponsor. The support extended beyond the participants, with iHeartRadio and 102.9Mix sending their promo team to add to the buzz.

Attendees were treated to refreshing tea and lemonade courtesy of Raising Cane’s, while School of Rock Coppell provided a rocking soundtrack for the day. The event was more than just a fundraiser; it was a community celebration with music, snacks, and activities for patient families. Teams competed for accolades in various categories, including best dressed, highest fundraiser, and fastest pulls, adding a spirited competitive edge to the festivities. The 2nd annual Fire Truck Pull in Dallas was not just a success; it was a testament to the power of community coming together for a meaningful cause.

Our winners were as follows:

  • Best Dressed: Simmons Bank Pulling for Thiago
  • Highest Fundraiser: Texas Materials Pulling for Preston
  • Fastest Team: SMU Football Pulling for Beckett
  • 2nd Fastest Team: SMU BSAAC pulling for Isacc

We look forward to seeing everyone next year, on April 26th!
